ARISTO OPEN DAY ACTIVITIES 29-30 November 2023

In the morning of 29th November groups of the ARISTO fellows along with Prof. Karpouzas and Prof. Papadopoulou from the University of Thessaly had the chance of  visiting an elementary school in Larissa and two high schools (5th Grade High School of Platykampos and 3rd Grade 1st Peiramatiko High School of Larissa). The fellows had the chance of presenting themselves, their projects and explained to the students how it is the life of a researcher, the benefits and concerns that they have. There was a very interesting interaction with the students that they enjoyed this interaction.

Another group of ARISTO fellows (Cara, Laura, Kunyang) visited an elementary school in Larissa and they had a wonderful time talking with the kids, they got some really interesting and difficult questions to answer and they figured out what is a researcher in the eyes of kids

SHOTS OF KNOWLEDGE, LARISSA, GREECE On the night of 29th November the ARISTO fellows discussed with a quite vivid audience in the bar Connectiva in Larissa, Greece, about pesticides, soil health and climate change their experience being a PhD student abroad and the benefits and difficulties of being a young researcher. It was a really great night that we all enjoyed and particularly the general public that discussed with the students. 

WORKSHOP OF ARISTO in collaboration with RATION and INTOMED two other EU projects

In the frame of the OPEN DAY, ARISTO joined forces with two other EU project RATION and INTOMED, to organize on the morning of 30th of November a workshop on Soil Microbiome Tools for Ecotoxicology and Crop Protection: projections for climate change. The workshop attracted over 50 attendees in the premises of Hellenic Agricultural Organization in Larissa, Greece. The highlights were the presentation of the Coordinator on the common thread that links ARISTO, RATION and INTOMED (Plant and Soil Health), the presentation of ARISTO by two of our fellows Camilla Drocco and Marjan Roshanfekrrad) and the presentation of Prof. Lisa Stein on the role of soil microorganisms for soil health and climate change mitigation.
